Calvi Oltrepò Pavese Buttafuoco Don Angelo

A rare gem

Oltrepo' Pavese is now widely known, but its wines are special. This is an excellent Buttafuoco ('Spitfire'). Somewhat similar to Lambrusco, but - to me - taken to a whole different level. Recommended to open your meal, paired with salame, coppa, pancetta or prosciutto crudo, but great throughout.
