Vin Jaune
Vin Jaune or Yellow Wine is typical of the Jura region, solely produced from the Savagnin grape variety and bottled in special 62 cl. bottles known by the name of clavelin. It’s a wine which is matured under a layer of yeast, like Finos and other Sherries. They’re great wines for cellaring, dry and very complex aromatically, with notes of dried fruits and nuts, toast, honey, cinnamon, caramel... Ideal for accompanying aperitifs, sea food, curries, various cheeses and many of the region’s traditional dishes. Remarkable wines, really worth trying, and you can buy them at the best possible price at Vinissimus!
