St. Michael-Eppan

They are impeccably perfect, intriguing, fruity wines, which Hans Terzer has been producing from the historic cooperative winery of San Michele Appiano since 1978. The classic line is historically characterised by its immediacy and expressive loyalty to the vine and the territory, with products that have made history of Alto Adige wine and which have drawn the wine landscape. Names like Merol, Montiggl, Schulthauser, Anger, Lahn, together with the reserves, constitute the top range of this production. The best selections belong to the Sanct Valentin line, which does not disdain wood refinement and has been one of the spearheads of regional wine for thirty years. Here elegance and minerality merge to perfection, perpetuating the amazing results of the eponymous fifteenth-century historical estate located in the municipality of Appiano. At the peak of excellence there are two new lines: TWC (The Wine Collection), for now with an extraordinary and very limited masterpiece Sauvignon which stays for a year in tonneau, and Appius, a cuvée of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco which represents for Hans Terzer the "dream wine", refined on the yeasts between steel and wood, with an incredible aging potential.
