Wine from Roura
Roura
Roura is a winery located in the region of Alella, very close to Barcelona, in the northeast of Spain. This area is known for its long winemaking tradition and for the production of distinctive white wines, especially those made from the Pansa Blanca grape, locally known as Xarel-lo. Roura, founded in 1986, has played an important role in the revitalisation and promotion of the Alella Denomination of Origin.
The winery combines modern winemaking techniques with long-established winemaking traditions to produce wines that reflect the unique character of their terroir. Roura's vineyards are planted on sandy and sauló soils, typical of the Alella region, which contribute to the minerality and freshness of its wines.
Roura produces mainly white wines, but also makes rosé and red wines. Their white wines are appreciated for their freshness, balance and subtle mineral notes, while their reds and rosés are praised for their fruity character and smoothness.
In addition to focusing on the quality of its wines, Roura is also dedicated to wine tourism, offering guided tours of its facilities and vineyards. This allows visitors to experience first-hand the beauty of the Alella landscape and learn about the winemaking process, reinforcing the link between the wine and its place of origin.
