Prime Alture

Pinot Noir has always been Roberto Lechiancole's favourite wine. When he thought of realising his 'dream in agriculture' one of the protagonists would be Pinot Noir, he was certain. The choice fell in the Oltrepò Pavese area in Casteggio, on the land that had always been cultivated with Pinot Noir, which today has become Prime Alture Winery.

Over the years, the Winery's production has always grown and, decisive in 2016, was the beginning of the collaboration with Jean Francois Coquard, a fourth-generation winemaker from a family of winegrowers in Burgundy, with 20 years' experience in Oltrepò Pavese.

He was joined over the years by Claudio Brunelli, who from the very beginning took care of the vines, cultivating them using the SIMONIT & SIRCH method, by Claudio Giorgi, an agronomist and winegrower from Oltrepò Pavese, who began developing the green-sustainable project that is still ongoing, and by Fausto Comotti, son-in-law and cellarman, who from the very beginning took care of the management of the cellar and the wines, at every stage.

Prime Alture Winery's production originates from six grape varieties - Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, Croatina. Barbera and Moscato - grown in the estate vineyards using techniques that respect the Earth's biodiversity. The grapes vinified in purity with extreme care during processing in the cellar, give rise to the wines of the Winery, wines that preserve the aromatic scents of the original vines unaltered. Each wine produced is distinguished by its harmonious drinkability, both for the younger wines and for the Reserves, which rest for some time in barriques before bottling.

The care and attention to detail from the vineyard to the label make the wines of Prime Alture Winery distinguishable and identifiable.
