Pazo de Barrantes

The history of Pazo de Barrantes dates back to the 16th Century and ever since then the estate has had links with the Creixell family, who own the historic Marqués de Murrieta in La Rioja.

Located in the Rías Baixas DO, Pazo de Barrantes comprises a majestic building along with 12 hectares of vineyards, where the Albariño grapes grow enjoying a very mild Atlantic climate and with a strong maritime influence. The winery keeps closely to the spirit of its Rioja "sister", continually monitoring vineyard management, pruning, the yields and determining the prime time for harvesting. With this philosophy and meticulous vinification methods, Pazo de Barrantes successfully reflects a terroir of great quality in Albariños that have a fragrant varietal character.
