Le Macchiole

Founded in the early eighties, over the years Le Macchiole has become a point of reference for lovers of the best experiments in the Bolgheri area. Now a historical winery of the district, today led by Cinzia Merli, it has a style in continuous evolution, rooted in the young tradition of the territory but willing to question itself with radical changes. A continuous spirit of change, therefore, that among many things has also led to the organic conversion of the vineyards and the conquest of a less extractive and more elegant style, on the strength of forward-looking containment of wood ageing. These choices lead towards the full exploitation of the terroir, which produces an increasingly free expression to allow the vines to express a thousand highly crafted and highly personal facets.
