Cusumano
Coloured, minimalist labels and excellent easy-drinking, fresh and intriguing wines. These are the features which in scarcely a decade have turned the wines made by Cusumano into leaders of Sicilian winemaking. The diverse terroirs give rise to impeccable and sincere wines, whether made from indigenous or international varieties, and grown with a meticulous care that borders on perfection.
Tradition and innovation are brought together in this young winery with firm roots in Sicily, where it counts on vineyards in the Partinico areas, close to Palermo, in Pacchino and in the Etna region. A refined and dynamic winery, a real business model on the island thanks to wines such as Sàgana, a Nero d'Avola with an impressive personality and fruit-driven, toasty and balsamic aromas.
Noà is another of Cusumano's big successes, a coupage of Nero d'Avola, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon which is most appealing due to its character, tannicity and silkiness. Made from the Chardonnay variety, another winery great: Jalé, a barrel-aged white that's both tropical and spicy. Arising from the indigenous variety Insolia comes Cubià, one of Sicily's most popular wines.
