Champagne Drappier
Champagne Drappier is a family-owned winery with roots dating back to 1808, located in the heart of Urville, in the Champagne region of France. With a philosophy geared towards authenticity and sustainability, Drappier is known for crafting champagnes of great character using traditional methods and an organic approach. The house grows mostly Pinot Noir, but also works with rare varieties such as Arbane, Petit Meslier and Blanc Vrai, recovering the essence of the oldest Champenoise wines.
One of Drappier's most distinctive characteristics is his moderate use of sulphur, which allows the wines to express the terroir and grape varieties more purely. Their champagnes are aged in cellars carved out of 12th century limestone, ensuring an ideal environment to develop their complexity and freshness.
Highlights include cuvées such as the Drappier Brut Nature (with no added sugar, ideal for palates seeking purity) and the Grande Sendrée, an expression of great elegance and depth with grapes from single plot vineyards. In addition, Drappier leads the way in innovation with low environmental impact packaging, promoting responsible practices throughout its production chain.
It is a house with a historic heritage but with an eye to the future, making it a benchmark for connoisseurs and those seeking to enjoy an authentic and distinctive champagne.
