Bartolo Mascarello
For many it is the most authentic Barolo that exists. The one that, thanks to the stubbornness of the legendary and late lamented Bartolo, has resisted all trends, even the very lucrative cru one. The Mascarello Barolo is the classic blend of Nebbiolo grapes from different plots, precisely the four owned by the winery, located between Barolo and La Morra. An eco-sustainable approach, even if not certified, and of course traditional refinement in large barrels.
A red wine of unsurpassed class, the Barolo now bottled by Maria Teresa is a true tribute of Piedmont and Italy to the territorial concept of "wine". Fine, dynamic, clear but taut, subtle and rightly angular, with a longevity that will certainly exceed thirty years and a drinkability that seems incredibly already planned. The merit goes to the area, renowned for the Barolo wines of austere structure.
