Anselmi

For about twenty years Roberto Anselmi has no longer produced the Soave with a designation of origin, but for the Veronese area this company remains an undisputed, even stylistic reference point. Today assisted by Tommaso and Lisa, Roberto is in fact considered one of the great masters of Garganega, the rich and vertical grape typical of the area.

From the grand cru of Monte Foscarino, on limestone soils of clear volcanic origin, the winery produces some of the best Garganega in the area, characterised by a very strong minerality. The Anselmi style was born from separate harvests and vinifications of the plots, and from aging exclusively in steel. So fresh and vertical wines, that express the variety and the territory without compromise.

The cellar, located in Monteforte d'Alpone, is a concentrate of tradition and cutting edge technological innovation. Other fundamental ingredients for the straightness and firmness of the wines. Garganega Capitel Foscarino is sharp and mineral, from the homonymous Soave cru, which includes, for greater accessibility and elegance, 10% Chardonnay. The San Vincenzo is sapid and slightly rounder, six months in steel, with a part of Chardonnay and Sauvignon which reaches 30% of the blend.

The exception is Capitel Croce, Garganega of one variety, six months in wood from one of the most historic areas of Soave, of overwhelming minerality and balanced softness. Endless elegance also for the great red of the house, Realda, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that stays for a year and a half in barriques like the great Bordeaux wines. And finally I Capitelli, the Recioto by Anselmi, a passito from Garganega in soft and persuasive purity.
