The wine
The Barbarian vineyard was born in 2000 on the shores of the Sea of Marmara in the region of Thrace. Organic and biodynamic since its origins, the 25 hectare estate thrives in a climate conducive to the cultivation of vines.
The name Barbarian pays homage to the nearby village of Barbaros. Xavier Vignon was committed from the very beginnings of the domain in close collaboration with Can Topsakal its founder. As a friend and consultant oenologist, Xavier still goes to the site several times a year to accompany the teams throughout the stages of the vineyard and the wine.
