The wine
100% Tempranillo grapes from Finca Los Juncares, a low production vineyard grown in 1957 on sandy, iron-rich soils with a large limestone component, and aged for 15 months in French oak, the result is an opaque purple-coloured red with subtle aromas of toast, earth, spices, and notes of blackcurrants, tobacco and liquorice. The palate is savoury and full-bodied, with plenty of toasty notes intermixed with blackberries and cassis, fine-textured, ripe and concentrated on the palate. A modern interpretation of Tempranillo to enjoy now and over the next 5-6 years.
