The wine
Viñas de Gain is the most accessible wine from Artadi and one of the best options to begin to discover their amazing range of wines. Although it does not bear the appellation name and its label may leave a doubt as to whether it actually is a Rioja wine, we can assure you that this is definitely yet another small wonder from Artadi.
What does this wine taste like?
Displaying an aromatic profile of cherries and eucalyptus wrapped up with a flawless ageing process, Viñas de Gain is a flavoursome wine, agile in the mouth and easy to drink. Rich in aromas and flavours of fresh red fruit, it offers a crispy feel with dry sensations of eucalyptus leaves and a touch of damp earth. Ageing notes of liquorice and coffee beans are also especially noticeable in its youth.

Drinking and storing
Like all Artadi wines, it is a powerful wine but also surprisingly pleasant and immediately accessible on opening. However, if we let it stand and aerate a while, we are sure to enjoy it much more.
Food pairing
Ox fillet / Magret of duck / Grilled fish / Rabbit lamb with fine herbs

Artadi
Bodegas Artadi is, in fact, the name by which the Cosecheros Alaveses cooperative is known, a well-orchestrated project that started up in 1985, in which several vine-growing associates became involved to show that cosechero (young red) wine could also prove to be great wine. They were successful, with their cosecheros and all the other wines they have added to their catalogue.
