The very classical 2018 Viña Dorana is serious and austere, with the freshness of a cool year, something less and less frequent nowadays. It's a harmonious blend of 60% Garnacha and 40% Tempranillo, rescuing the fine wines from yesteryear, with good ripeness, 14% alcohol and the freshness from the year. It matured for two years exclusively in French oak barrels, giving it a slightly more modern twist and a more fruit-forward character. It should improve with time in bottle, as there is still a trace of oak in the finish. 29,482 bottles and 710 magnums produced. It was bottled in July 2024.
