Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker, Parker, and Suckling

The 2021 Viñademoya has notes of licorice, earth and ripe berries on the nose and fresher flavors than expected, with hints of acid strawberry, 13% alcohol and a medium-bodied palate with fine tannins. Elegant rusticity. 80,000 bottles and 500 magnums produced. It was bottled in July 2023.

The label of the 2019 Viñademoya mentions centenary vines, and this was produced with grapes from different plots, mostly Mencía but also other grapes found in the old vineyards—3% Garnacha Tintorera and 2% whites Doña Blanca and Palomino. The 2019 is a very good but ripe vintage with some 14.5% alcohol and a perfumed and ripe nose with notes of prunes and soy sauce. It has a medium to full-bodied palate with abundant tannins that would welcome powerful food. This matured in barrel for five to seven months. 120,000 bottles and 500 magnums. It was bottled in January 2021.

Aromas of dark cherries, plums, clay, dried flowers and mocha. Medium-to full-bodied with fine tannins and fresh acidity. Excellent balance and tension with a velvety texture and a flavorful finish. Drink now.
