The wine
The Isonzo Merlot Maurus wine produced by Vie di Romans Isonzo has an intense ruby red color; on the nose it expresses fruity hints of ripe red and black fruits and sensations of chocolate and bitter cocoa. The sip remains fruity and well balanced with freshness. Young tannin which makes it very pleasant to drink. Excellent in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses.

Serve between 16ºC and 18ºC

From eco-sustainable vineyards, the Mariano del Friuli's winery works with a very high selection of grapes and an accurate reduction of yields, which produce exciting, clean, territorial and electrifying wines. Gianfranco, with his broad experience and most-updated knowledge, has thus brought his wines from high Isonzo to winning the highest international awards, at ease in competing with the older Loire and Burgundy brothers.
