The wine
Pinot Gris belongs to the Burgundy Pinot family and is related to Pinot Blanc and the progenitor of the Pinot family, Pinot Noir. In France this grape variety is called "Pinot Gris", in Germany "Ruländer", where it received the name of the merchant who imported it. Pinot Grigio is a full white wine rich in extract and has a straw yellow color. Its flavor is delicate and pleasantly soft. In fully matured wines, notes of walnuts and honey stand out. It goes very well with dishes based on mushrooms, fish and seafood. Also recommended as an aperitif wine.
