Torrevento Nero di Troia Riserva Ottagono
2014Spec sheet
The wine
Produced from an old vineyard at the foot of the Castle at 500 meters above sea level, it obtained the recognition of the first DOCG Nero di Troia Castel del Monte in 2014. The recognition of the DOCG represents the culmination of 30 years of work and experimentation on the native Nero vine of Troy.
With an impenetrable intense ruby color with violet reflections, the nose expresses sensations of black berry fruit with slight hints of spice. On the palate it is full-bodied and dense with a finish of great fullness and fruity notes, thanks to a perfect aging in large oak barrels. It goes well with dishes with rich flavors, red meat, game, lamb, roasts, cold cuts and aged cheeses.
