The wine
After two decades as oenologist at Pago de Carraovejas, Tomás Postigo offers us his very personal wine, the first from the winery which bears his name and the one that is starting off this new venture on his own. A Verdejo, fermented in barrel, made using vines grown at an altitude of 750 metres in Serrada, Rueda. As this is only his second vintage, he continues to amaze us.
An intense straw-yellow colour, with greenish hues at the rim, the wine displays aromas of ripe fruits (papaya, pear and mango) on the nose, as well as spicy, toasty and fruit notes. It is tasty, persistent, oily-rich and elegant on the palate.
Aged for 7 months in French and American oak barrels.
