The wine
Vivaciously bright cherry-red in colour, this is a lively, vibrant wine. A rich and complex nose exudes black-berry fruits, with balsamic and mineral hints and spicy wafts. The aroma intensity increases, developing nicely in the glass, while layers of fruit with toasty notes and spice on the palate bring out the expressive character of the Tinta de Toro grapes.
After an extended maceration on the skins and frequent racking, the wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.
