The wine
Guidalberto was born caressed by the sea breeze and cradled by the gentle hills that surround the Tenuta San Guido. On the nose the enveloping hints of wild berries and ripe black cherries are accompanied by hints of Mediterranean scrub, brackish sensations and mellow tones of sweet spices. The sip is soft but there are lively tannins, freshness and flavor, the latter particularly in closing, to give the right gustatory rhythm.

Tenuta San Guido
Tenuta San Guido is named after Saint Guido della Gherardesca, a hermit who lived in the vicinity of the winery in the 11th Century. It lies between Livorno and Grosseto, close to the Etruscan coast, in the Maremma region about which the Nobel Prize-winner and poet, Giosuè Carducci, wrote so many verses.
