The wine

A single varietal Viognier originating from the vineyard of Sioneta Oliver, a member of the Ribas family, located in the town of Consell. An atypical Mediterranean variety and a recent discovery for the wine-growing world, but one which has shown itself capable of adapting perfectly to the winery's sandy and chalky soils. In Soma, the grape's great aromatic potential is complemented by the special consistency and unctuosity endowed by fermentation on its lees.

Straw-yellow with pale pink flecks, it's clean and bright. It comes over as very aromatic on the nose, with notes of tropical fruit (papaya), cantaloupe melon and hints of white flowers. On the palate it's delicate, fruity, very fresh and velvety. Ideal for accompanying white fish, seafood and oriental cuisine.
