On the plateau around the extinct volcano of Vulture, Aglianico has been cultivated since time immemorial. Frederick II of Swabia had a particular predilection for this land and marvelous castles still perfectly preserved remain as evidence. From the Swabian period, this generous wine celebrates King Manfredi, fearless warrior son of the Emperor. Re Manfredi Aglianico del Vulture DOC, the company's representative wine, comes from a 52-hectare vineyard located at 420 m asl in a volcanic soil in the municipality of Venosa. It is the wine that best interprets the characteristics of Aglianico del Vulture. Processed in purity with fermentation with natural yeasts at low temperatures, it is refined in French barriques that give it light hints of vanilla and thyme. Distinguished by an exceptional personality, it is a powerful and balanced wine, with an elegant and warm background of spices and a creamy finish. It has a deep and intense ruby color; ample and complex perfume, with dominant notes of bitter cherry, aromatic herbs and hints of vanilla and pepper; powerful and imperious flavor, with an elegant background of spices and cream. Wine with a marked minerality and flavor, characteristics that give it an extraordinary harmony.
