The wine

The PradoRey Finca Valdelayegua Crianza red wine comes from the Finca Valdelayegua vineyard, located at a height of 815 metres above sea level and producing deep-coloured and structured grapes with an exceptional freshness and strong minerality, owing to the high proportion of calcareous clay in the soil. This Crianza ages for 12 months in French and American oak, as well as spending 3 months in Nevers oak barrels.

With a high intensity in the nose, the aroma of ripe red fruits are to the front, while sweet sensations from its ageing and its balsamic and mineral notes give it its complexity. Flavoursome in the mouth, with fine tannins and a pleasant freshness, this wine has a very good balance, with well-integrated wood and the perfect amount of fruit.

This Ribera del Duero wine cellar has been a ground-breaking one in many aspects: producing wines in the 'Roble' category, with only a short period of time in oak barrels, when many others produced...
