The wine
The brothers, Joan and Josep, have a winning formula here with this full-bodied and well-balanced red wine. Their 2008 vintage was highly rated and recommended in the Decanter wine magazine's Panel Tasting (March 2011) of Montsant and Priorat wines.
The vines used for this wine have stood in Montsant soil for a hundred years and so it is no wonder their grapes are enriched with the mineral nutrients provided by this magnificent terroir. Purple in colour, dense fruit flavours pervade the palate, highlighting chocolate and cherries, with a definite spicy finish.
Aged for 10-12 months in French oak barrels.
