The wine
From vineyards owned by the Pio family to Cascina Il Bricco in Treiso, in the Barbaresco area, and to Colombaro in Serralunga d'Alba, in the Barolo area. Spicy, creamy, intense, soft, persistent, with hints of sweet fruit, ripe, still fresh, and with unobtrusive wood. Piodilei has been produced since 1985 and represents the Pio family's desire to make a white wine with the characteristics of body, complexity and longevity similar to those of the great red wines that have always been produced in those vineyards.

The winery
Pio Cesare
Active for five generations, Pio Cesare is one of the most historic wineries in Alba and the entire Langhe area. Built along the Roman walls of ancient Alba, the winery has been active since 1881. The team, today decidedly modernized but still managed by the family, takes care of 70 hectares of vineyards, located in the Barolo and Barbaresco area.
