Pietro Caciorgna Sangiovese Macchie

Macchie is the highest expression of love and respect for the tradition of peasant life and Tuscan culture. The grapes come from the small vineyard owned by the company, “Osteria delle Macchie”, which has an extension of 2.3 hectares and is located on a hill facing south-east. Macchie is obtained from the selection of the best Sangiovese. In the glass, the wine shows an intense ruby red color. Deep and intense on the nose, with aromas of ripe fruit. It initially has a robust body and is then followed by particular elegance and complexity, presenting a mix of black fruits and a hint of spice. In the mouth it is thin and round, with a persistent aftertaste. It is a wine to be drunk young, although it is constantly evolving and is excellent to serve even in the following 10-12 years.
