The wine

The Montsant Denomination of Origin is located in the centre of Catalonia, surrounding like a ring around the famous and exclusive DOCa Priorat. Some refer to the D.O. Montsant as The Diamond in the Rough because it is a very young D.O. but it already enjoys an impressive prestige all over the world. In fact, its prestige is growing so fast that in a very short time the D.O. Montsant will be one of the reference areas in the world.

In Montsant, vines have been cultivated for thousands of years. It is a very isolated area, based exclusively on agricultural cultivation that preserves nature and is an example of respect for the environment. The vineyards are spread out on the slopes of the mountains, between olive groves, forests and rocks.

Perlat white comes from old vines of low production of Garnacha Blanca and Macabeo. Part of the blend was fermented in 500-litre barrels while the rest was fermented in stainless steel tanks. After that, the wine was aged on its lees for 4 months.

A pale yellow, transparent and bright white wine. Its aroma reminds us of notes of white fruits with an intense floral background, evoking white and wild flowers. Gradually we also discover notes of spices, undergrowth, balsamic aromas and fennel. On the palate it is surprising, with a creamy texture full of nuances. Long and silky aftertaste.
