Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker and Jancis Robinson

The 2019 Hub was named after jazz trumpet player Freddie Hubbard because the wine comes from a higher and rockier place in the village of Guarilihue and Parra considers Hubbard the most audacious of the trumpet players. The dry-farmed vines were planted 40 years ago in the higher part of Guarilihue on rocky granite soils with lots of silt and quartz and less sand. It fermented in concrete tanks with 60% full clusters and indigenous yeasts, then the wine matured in concrete vat. This time I felt the wine was more fruit-driven and in a way not as complex or deep as some of the others. The palate is light and ethereal but has lots of energy and elegance from sandy soils; there's more minerality than complexity here. 1,920 bottles were filled in February 2020.

Very soft, delicate, fruity, fine and very Old World. I like its salty, airy, tight character. I can't stop thinking of a beaujolais cru. It is long and precise. It is the one with the most generous fruit of this flight. Delicious freshness.
