The wine
A winery from Dogliani with Dolcetto at its heart, Pecchenino makes Sirì d'Jermu one of the best reds in its category. It has a dense and intense ruby red colour. The aromas are of cherries in alcohol, with delicate spicy hints of black pepper, then violet, almond, fern and blueberry. After a year in cask, it reveals its character of a full-bodied Dolcetto, powerful, vibrant, rich, in perfect harmony between fruit and freshness, with young and lively tannins, gritty and dynamic. Ideal with red meat dishes: roasts, braised meats, pasta with ragù sauce. Also excellent with mature cheeses.
