The wine

A winery from Dogliani with Dolcetto at its heart, Pecchenino makes Sirì d'Jermu one of the best reds in its category. It has a dense and intense ruby red colour. The aromas are of cherries in alcohol, with delicate spicy hints of black pepper, then violet, almond, fern and blueberry. After a year in cask, it reveals its character of a full-bodied Dolcetto, powerful, vibrant, rich, in perfect harmony between fruit and freshness, with young and lively tannins, gritty and dynamic. Ideal with red meat dishes: roasts, braised meats, pasta with ragù sauce. Also excellent with mature cheeses.

Pecchenino

The Pecchenino winery was founded towards the end of the 18th century. It has always been family-run and the estates have been handed down from father to son. Since the 70s, when the winery was passed on to his son Marino and then in 1987 to his sons Orlando and Attilio, new land and vineyards have been acquired and now it has an area of about 32 hectares, 26 of which are located in the municipality of Dogliani and 3 in the municipality of Monforte...
