The wine

Patrick Piuze born in 1973 in Quebec (Canada). It comes from a bourgeois family that has ever been dedicated to wine. As an adult, an encounter changed his life: he met Marc Chapoutier, who helped him buy his first experiences in the world of wine. In the summer of 2000, Patrick prepared her suitcase and went to the heart of Burgundy to the harvest in Olivier Laflaive (Puligny Montrachet) for the next 4 years. Then he was offered work in the Verget maison, where Jean-Marie Guffens conveys all the passion for the terroir. Thereafter Patrick Piuze began to be a reputed vigneron and fame led to him being hired the next year by the maison Jean-Marc Brocard as cellar master. Finally, in 2008, Patrick decided and created his own maison in the town of Chablis.

His Petit Chablis is the basic wine comes from two different plots: one extends over Grand Cru Les Clos, on top of the hillside and is made of stainless steel. This is a nice example of Petit Chablis, offering a vibrant blend of grapefruit, lime, notes preserved and large doses of minerality. The palate is intense, deep and very race; a direct wine, without compromise. This 'little guy' drinking terribly well.

Patrick Piuze, enfant terrible!
