Panizzi Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva
2015Spec sheet
The wine
Straw yellow color, bright with a greenish hue tending to antique gold. The scent is broad, aristocratic, very varied in a balanced initial blend of broom flowers and walnut husk, grapefruit and melon, which fade into vanilla notes harmonized with the mineral hints of flint. The taste affirms a wine of character, concentrated, savory, perfectly balanced, with a finish enlivened by an acidic balance. Complex, mineral, it has a long persistence with an aftertaste in which notes of ripe fruit emerge. Pairing with baked fish, white meats, preparations with delicate sauces, aged cheeses, creamy blue cheeses.
