The wine
Nipozzano Riserva is an intriguing and involving wine, ruby red in color, with a good consistency. On the nose it opens with a strong fruity component of blackberry, blueberry and black cherry. Sweet notes of cotton candy and spicy cloves and nutmeg follow. The tannic texture is dense, but not scratchy. In the mouth it is warm and soft, with a beautiful persistence and with a remarkable taste-olfactory correspondence. Excellent in combination with grilled red meat, baked lamb and lightly aged pecorino cheese.
