Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker

A new village red from Tupungato, the 2019 Balsa de Piedra Blend de Tintas mixes grapes from different vineyards within the village and is also a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and some Semillon. The varieties fermented together with indigenous yeasts and some stems in concrete, and a small portion of the wine matured in 225-liter oak barrels, with the rest kept in concrete. They mentioned a Rioja when talking about this wine, but it's more aromatic and floral, the varieties very integrated. The wine is juicy and combines ripeness and freshness. It has a fine thread, round tannins and a vibrant finish. Very tasty. 30,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2020.
