The wine

Menditto is an emblematic wine for the winery, as it was the first to be aged in oak, marking a shift towards a style of its own that distances itself from traditional Rioja profiles. This wine represents a style statement that balances tradition and modernity, capturing the essence of its origin and the winery's innovative vision.

The aim of this wine was to define a unique style, using grapes from old vineyards, well matured, but maintaining an outstanding freshness. The coupage with graciano and a careful selection of wood is achieved without overshadowing the fresh and seasoned fruit. The wine's character is reflected in the clay soil, which adds volume in the mouth and a rich complexity of nuances on the palate. Menditto leaves the cellar round and ready to be enjoyed, after a long ageing process in bottle that gives it the final touch of detail and sophistication.
