The wine
This line was launched in 2001, which was a truly excellent vintage year, and expresses the terroir of the best and oldest vineyard available in Cenicero. The Tempranillo grapes are selected at their optimum point of ripeness from very low-yielding parcels.
A dark cherry colour, the wine exudes aromas of red and black fruits, with spicy, toasty and high roast notes. On the palate it is structured and harmonious, full of lushness and flavour, revealing mineral, toasty and spicy hints.
Aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels.
