The wine

It is an important Amarone, of extraordinary strength and complexity, among the best ten wines in the world according to Wine Spectator. It represents the icon of the historic Serego Alighieri estates and comes from the homonymous vineyard from which the name Amarone seems to derive. This aristocratic wine is produced by repeating skilful rites in the vineyard, in the ancient fruit lofts for withering and in the cellar. The elegant personality is emphasized by the use of the Serego Alighieri clone Molinara and aging in cherry barrels, as a family tradition.

At sight it has a bright ruby red color. The aromatic profile is complex, composed of notes of overripe cherries and cooked plums. At the sip this seductive "illusion of sweetness" is discernible. Hints of cherry and berries, cinnamon and vanilla characterize the aftertaste. Perfect with red meats, game, quails, roasts, tasty dishes. Excellent pairing with seasoned and spicy cheeses such as parmesan and pecorino. Great and sumptuous wine for the end of the meal.

Today Masi is present in the best terroirs of the Tre Venezie with vineyards and historical estates. Since 1973, it has collaborated in Valpolicella with the Serego Alighieri Counts, direct descendants of the poet Dante. More recently,...
