The wine

Martúe appears to be quite an ordinary wine, with its “Vino de mesa” (Table wine) label and affordable price. However, there will be a pleasant surprise in store for those who decide to give it a try. With its lovely fruit on the nose, balsamic notes, roundness on the palate and long length, this wine offers an unbeatable price-satisfaction ratio.

A dark cherry-red colour and showing great density, the wine is quite shy on the nose, with aromas of berries, fruit compote and cigar box (tobacco and cedar wood). It starts fresh and generous on the palate, with a fair amount of acidity and ripe fruit, but develops to become more weighty and powerful, and reveals good structure. It boasts an extremely long finish in which all the taste sensations intermingle: well-ripened fruit, berries, tobacco, scrub, burnt wood...

Aged in French and American oak for 9 months.

Young vineyards masterfully managed, a modern winery well-equipped and beautifully-designed and a dynamic and very strong team, are the three keys to the success of this La Mancha bodega, a market leader in quality-price ratio. Founded in 2000 by the González-Borrego family in La Guardia, Toledo, and with the involvement of various well-known investors, such as the actor Emilio Aragón, its progress can be measured by having reached production levels of around 350,000 bottles....
