The wine
From the beautiful Ürzig vineyard near Bernkastel, Ürziger Würzgarten Spätlese comes from grapes harvested late in October. The wine, which is left to mature for a long time in wooden barrels, expresses a fragrant bouquet of pineapple and passion fruit, with the characteristic mineral counterpoint of hydrocarbons. The flavour is fresh and powerfully mineral, and will express itself even more in this sense with the long years of evolution still ahead of it.
