The wine
Lluna Vella is made in a similar way to its cellar sibling, La Guinardera, and they are both single varietal Garnachas. The main difference lies in the orientation. Whilst the Garnacha grapes for La Guinardera come from vineyards facing south, the Lluna Vella vines are orientated towards the north-west, at an altitude of 450 metres, on the Mas de Dalt vineyard estate of just 4 hectares. This results in a particularly mineral and extremely fresh wine.
Aged for 11 months in second fill French (90%) and American oak barrels with a 300-litre capacity.
