The wine

An elegant and individual, high expression wine that has been very well received and rightly taken its place as the ‘older sibling’ of the renowned “Les Sorts” range. This is a wine for which the young winemaker Ricard Rofes has wisely decided to choose the best clusters from the oldest vines belonging to this long-standing cooperative winery, so that a top quality red wine can be safely guaranteed year after year.

An array of nuances are discernible once the wine is poured into the glass, giving evidence of its great complexity. The palate is most pleasurable with overwhelming warmth on entry and a show of well-ripened tannins.

NOTE: The longer it spends in bottle, the more advisable it is to decant the wine or open for a while before tasting.

Aged for 13 months in new French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels.
