The wine
Le Petit Caillou is Ducru Beaucaillou's third wine and one of the best Saint-Julien wines as to value for money. Classic, accessible and with the typical 'Saint-Julien' elegance. Even though it stands perfectly well on its own merits, anything but a good wine would be hard to conceive from a house capable of producing perfect or near perfect wines; we shouldn't forget that the house's grand vin, Ducru Beaucaillou, obtained Robert Parker's coveted 100 points for its 2009 vintage and 98+ for the 2010, and it's considered one of the best Cabernet Sauvignons in the world. Without a shadow of a doubt, there is no effort and thoroughness spared for the humbler Petit Caillou either.
