The wine

Located in the Agly valley, in the Roussillon region, Clos des Feés boasts parcels with fantastic geological diversity and different orientations that enormously enrich the wines they produce. From the respect shown to this great terroir, to the varieties which grow there, and as a result of the excellent work of a wine producer such as Bizeul, emanate wines of immense fruit expression, fresh, balanced and with marked purity.

Arising from parcels of old vines, Le Clos des Fées is made from a blend of equal amounts of Syrah, Monastrell, Garnacha and Cariñena. Aged on its lees in new French oak barrels for 18 months, the end result is a powerful, concentrated wine with a rich flavour, a superb creamy texture, yet still having freshness and tautness. Featuring aromas of blackberry and cassis, smoky notes, herbs, liquorice... Structured and with plenty of body, after a year in bottle this is a delightful wine for those who like young and powerful wines, and although it's normal for it to close up for the second year, from then on it slowly matures and gradually acquires new characteristics, keeping its fruit. Cellaring potential: 8 to 15 years.

Without any financial resources and with no other desire than to produce wine for pure pleasure, the passion and talent put into the endeavour by the pair led to the brilliant success of the first wine they produced, La Petite Sibérie. From then onwards, the winery has been continually...
