The wine
A new departure for this winery, well-known for its fine Ribera del Duero reds, and made using 100% Verdejo grapes from vineyards in the Matapozuelos area, just to the east of Rueda in the province of Valladolid.
Pale yellow in colour with greenish glints, the wine is clean and transparent. The nose displays aromas of ripe fruit (apples and pears), with notes of hay and tropical fruit (passion fruit). Balanced and fresh, its long silky finish lingers pleasantly on the palate.

Lagar de Isilla
Bodegas “El Lagar de Isilla” started up in 1995 after undertaking the ambitious project of restoring the historic 15th Century wine cellar in Aranda de Duero. This ancient bodega consists of a series of underground corridors and galleries, dug out beneath the town's old quarter, with a flight of 59 steps descending 12 metres below street-level to where the temperature remains between 12 and 14ºC and humidity is constant at 85%.
