The wine
From the historical and most deep-rooted reference winery, for the gentlest and straightest white wine in Piedmont, here is a piece of Italian wine history: the Gavi La Scolca. Pale straw in colour, it expresses to the nose the typical fine, mineral, pleasantly fresh bouquet, with hints of lime flowers, slightly citrus, mineral and fragrant. The taste is delicate, very dry and vertical, characterised by a rather accentuated acidulous vein, which makes each sip exceptional, versatile and never tiring. Naturally recommended with appetizers, fish and seafood. With oysters it is unrivalled, but it can elegantly accompany white meats and vegetable quiches.
