The wine
Above all, Jaspi Negre is a wine designed to be both affordable and easy to enjoy on the palate. A red wine produced with perfectly ripe grapes to ensure it delights with a blend of silky tannins, plentiful fruit, freshness and minerality. Jaspi is a pleasant wine; appetizing, easy to drink, subtle and seductive. An interesting evolution in the glass adds aromatic complexity to its nose and volume to the mouthfeel. All in all, an excellent example of a Montsant wine made from a mix of grape varieties and different terroirs.
What does this wine taste like?
It does not have a dense appearance in the bottle but is intense and bright with a dark Picota cherry red colour. A mixture of fruits, especially red and ripe ones (strawberries, cherries, bilberries, and raspberries), delights the nose alongside notes of liquorice and spices. As it opens up in the glass, a fresh minty sensation grows. On tasting the wine, the fragrant impression felt in the nose is reaffirmed and its silky profile and smooth tannins are appreciated. It is in no way a rough wine. A relatively complex wine for this price range offering a good experience in the mouth and easy to enjoy from the first sip to the last.

Coca i Fitó
The Coca i Fitó brothers (Toni and Miquel), originally from the Alt Penedés, are the sons of farmers and grew up amongst vineyards. They began in 2006 to make their own singular wines, in a modern style, produced using a selection of grapes from various vineyards with differing mineral composition, therefore wines which combine the minerality of the terroir with the essence of varieties such as Garnacha, Cariñena and Syrah. Vine cultivation is ecological...
