Izadi Larrosa Negra
2021Spec sheet
The wine
Old Grenache vines planted at high altitude in stony soils. A wine which evokes thoughts of Châteauneuf-du-Pape thanks to its varietal expressiveness and medium body. Briefly aged in pre-used barrels to ensure the fruit leads the way, the resulting wine is a fresh, juicy and elegant red wine with clayish tannins and very pleasant to drink. A wine to enjoy easily without complications.
What does this wine taste like?
Larrosa is an ethereal and delicate red wine with aromas of violets, lavender and ripe wild fruits. Discrete smoky tones and a hint of rose pepper and cocoa remind us of its short but well-spent time in barrels.
A fruity and amicable wine with a velvety and long mouthfeel which finalizes with a hint of pencil lead. Fine and enveloping tannins provide a juicy and discretely dry sensation after each sip of the wine, just tantalizing enough to leave us wanting more.

Bodegas Izadi
In 1987, Gonzalo Antón, in conjunction with a group of friends and business associates from Vitoria, decided to set up an innovative project in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa. Thus Bodegas Izadi came into being, situated in the triangle formed by the towns of Villabuena, Samaniego and Ábalos, the triangular motif on its labels, and with the clear objective of giving maximum expression to the fruit of that particular location, that natural environment so well-loved (Izadi means...
