The wine
Crystalline antique gold yellow with golden reflections tending to amber. Intense and decisive on the nose, with basically sweet and spicy notes of vanilla, walnut, peanuts, toasted almonds, dried figs, coffee and chocolate. Full and decisive with a dry and enveloping taste, good balance and excellent freshness. Persistent. Classic with mullet bottarga based canapés, aged cheeses, but also, if served at a higher temperature, with dried fruit and biscuits, dark chocolate. Excellent after a meal to serve alone. Recommended to be served in a tulip-shaped glass of medium size.
