Gulfi Nero d'Avola Neromàccarj

The Màccarj vineyard is among Pachino's most renowned and comprises 3 ha of limestone and clay soils and a notably ancient geological stratum. This terroir delivers wines that are rich and powerful, and have great aromatic maturity.

Nero Màccarj succeeds in expressing the warmth of the Sicilian summer with its sweet notes of cherry and ripe blackberry, accompanied by others of liquorice and Mediterranean undergrowth which increasingly grow in intensity right through the tasting of this wine. An outstanding feature on the palate is the magnificence of the Nero d'Avola, which successfully dispels any inkling of heaviness thanks to the excellent balance between the fruit's maturity and its acidity.
